The article deals with the legal regulation of control and supervisory activities in the sphere of higher education and defines the ways of their improvement. The author lists a number of normative legal acts regulating the control and supervisory activities in the field of higher education and substantiates the necessity for elaboration and clarification of the legislative requirements regulating the procedure of organization and conducting the educational activity.
