Modern system of additional education for children: features, strategies, trends

The article is devoted to the functioning peculiarities of institutions of additional education and to the management of the system of additional education for children. The main documents of the legal framework are highlighted and the forms of additional institutions to date are analyzed. The study was conducted in the sphere of institutions of additional education that implement general education programs. Special attention is paid to the modern analysis of institutions of additional education, their structure, types of services provided, forms and amounts of funding, including normative per capita financing and personalized financing of additional education. The article presents current statistics of the system of additional education and indicators that characterize this area of education over the past 5-10 years. The main trends and strategic directions of development of the system of additional education are systematized. The author's position in terms of priorities and opportunities for transformation of the system of additional education is determined.
