Modern understanding of police culture in the context of legal theory

Purpose: this article studies the relationship between the legal culture of an individual and the culture of the police, which is one of the key actors in law enforcement in any state. The determination of this goal is due to the need to identify the content of police culture and clarify the features of two aspects of the police subculture. The above predetermined the feasibility of applying certain concepts of legal theory to the subject area of police culture and taking them into account in the process of training police personnel. In addition, the article reflects the author’s understanding of the definition of «police culture» and considers a number of judgments of representatives of domestic and foreign scientific thought on the issue under study.
