Current state of choreographic education in the Russian Federation: normative aspects

The article analyzes the current state of choreographic education in Russia from the point of view of the legislation of the Russian Federation. The main emphasis being placed on identifying the possibilities of training pedagogues engaged in the training of ballet dancers, choreographers, etc., including athletes involved in figure skating, synchronized swimming and other difficult-coordinated sports (hereinafter referred to as pedagogue-choreographers). A detailed list of normative acts regulating this field of activity is given. In particular it was concluded that currently the training of pedagogue-choreographers in our country is carried out in the system of secondary professional choreographic education (for children’s art schools and other educational organizations of additional education, for general and professional educational organizations) and in higher and additional professional systems choreographic education (for all types of educational organizations). It is noted that the system of Russian choreographic education is uninterrupted. Also from the point of view of the legislation of the Russian Federation the results of choreographic education to which the pedagogue-choreographer should strive are considered.
