Current neurocognitive theories of thought disorders in schizophrenia (review of foreign literature)

The article provides a review of the foreign modern ideas about the possible neurocognitive mechanisms of thought disorders in schizophrenia is associated with impaired attention, executive functions, working and semantic memory, linguistic, semiotic and sensory-perceptual processes. It is marked the inconsistency of the experimental verification of these hypotheses and noted that the severity of schizophrenic thought disorders may represent some dysfunction of the semantic memory system.
