Modern books on the history of pedagogy

The article focuses on books on the history of pedagogy. The author considers that a book on the history of pedagogy should provide the achievement of definite didactic goals, include carefully selected, classified, interpreted and methodically designed historical and pedagogical material. The logic of selection, interpretation and organization of the material should be carried out on the basis of the consistent implementation of precise conceptual schemes which firstly ensure its meaningful integrity and unity and secondly can solve educational problems. The author thinks that the most promising basis for conceptualizing the content of textbooks on the history of education is the synthesis of civilization and paradigmatic and pedagogical approaches to understanding the historical and pedagogical process.
