The need of early career guidance of schoolchildren and as well as the focus of modern education on practice-oriented learning, on obtaining meta-subject results and competencies, require the organization of different areas of work, practical tests of cognitive, research and creative activities of students. The article presents the experience of establishing the center of agroecology and landscape design in conditions of general education school, the structure of the developed model, main directions and content of activities for establishing the center, description of products of innovation activities and the scope of work. The interaction of local self-governance, secondary and professional education in the establishment of the agroecological direction in school allows us to increase the practical significance of training, to develop a specialized training, to create conditions for expanding the horizons of talented children, to ensure the continuity of regular and extracurricular activities. The productivity of cooperation with local self-governance bodies to solve common environmental, socio-economic, cultural and educational problems is expressed in the implementation of joint social and environmental projects.
