Extended techniques in a modern solo repertoire of the saxophone

The article is devoted to the problem associated with the producing extended saxophone techniques. As examples of using of these techniques in the modern repertoire of the saxophone, the author provides a brief performing analysis of the Rio Noda`s «Improvisation» № 1 and S. Pavlenko`s «Sonata». The material will guide the performers on the need for more integrated scientific development of the topic in order to further improve performance skills.
