Specifics of the language of newspaper advertising in Russian during the NEP period in the Kyrgyz ASSR

Statement of the problem. The article examines the specifics of newspaper advertising in Russian in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan during the New Economic Policy (NEP) period. The purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of the language of advertisements in the early Soviet period in Kyrgyzstan and at the present time through the analysis of advertising texts from the 1920s till 1930s. Methodology (materials and methods). Using structural and syntactic methods the article analyzes advertisements of an advertising or informational nature on the pages of the newspapers Batratskaya Pravda, Peasant Way, Soviet Kyrgyzstan, currently stored in the Central State Archive of the Kyrgyz Republic and in the Collection of Rare and Especially Valuable Publications of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after A. Osmonov. Research results. The customers of advertisements are government authorities, city departments, and individuals. The ads are informative in nature, they talk about the working hours of organizations, they may be related to trade and transport. The composition and syntax of the genre of ads of various content are studied. The characteristic features are considered of language, photomontage, printing, advertising graphics in advertising and book design of 1920s - 1930s as a polycode communication space. The author’s contribution is to identify the linguistic features of the advertising text written Russian in Kyrgyzstan in comparison with the advertisements of the early 21st century. The characteristic features in syntactic structures and in the vocabulary of advertisements are determined.
