The article deals with the results of the analysis of the specific features of using the potential of the educational blogs in the activity of the school teacher on the basis of the data of the focus group of the school children and the expert interviews of the teachers, keeping the educational blogs. There is defined the specificity of the educational blogs in the work of the school teacher, associated with the use of the blog as the means of education and motivation to self-education and the way of the unstandardized feed of material.
