The specifics of professionally-oriented reading in foreign languages for medical students

The review of the main tendencies and methods of developing professionally-oriented reading skills in the ESP (English for Specific Purposes) teaching context is given in the article. Professionally - oriented reading is the most important in gaining new subject knowledge and building an integrated professional competence of a specialist. The article shows the kinds of reading important for medical students, the structure of working with the texts to create thematically related texts; the teaching methods of reading using on the Internet-platforms are analysed.
