The needs of parents of children with disabilities in receiving counseling in the “Parent University” project

The relevance of the study is based on the importance of education of parents of children with disabilities. A family for a child with disabilities is one of the most important social institutions that contributes to his / her development. The need for parental counseling for parents of children with disabilities is confirmed by the requirements of federal structures aimed at the development of projects "Parent Universities". The university-based counseling service will contribute to the development of parenting competencies; parents' awareness of their role in the educational process; improving the well-being of the family system; it is aimed at providing reliable and high-quality information on the education, upbringing, development and socialization of children with disabilities
