The article considers the possibility of using marketing technologies in the field of education, defines the specifics, functions and principles of the concept of social marketing of a general educational institution of the non-profit sector of the economy, provides the results of a survey of parents of secondary school students in Moscow on the role of schools in the development and upbringing of a child, which outlines the main directions of marketing activities.
