The article considers the specifics of the professional activity of a singer and a teacher of the higher school with the aim of improving the quality of professional training of opera singers in the universities of culture and arts. Peculiarities of organization of educational process in the system of professional musical education with the purpose of formation of professional competence of future opera singers. The author comes to the conclusion that the use of a systematic approach gives us the opportunity to show the components (in our case, the development of professional competence), their content, relationships. In our study, in line with a systematic approach, professional competence are studied in the integrity of their components, their indivisibility and complexity. The emphasis is on identifying the General integral of the result, the target (in our study the development of professional competence of future specialists), for which, and through which the elements of the plurality are arranged in the system. The analysis of the phenomenon being studied in the theory and practice of preparation of future specialists were allowed to structure of professional competence of future vocalist in the context of vocal training, in the unity of components such as: motivational, technological, creative.
