During the spring flood, a significant part of the river runoff passes through the rivers of the Republic, for accident-free passage of which it is necessary to determine in advance the volume of possible receipt of meltwater in the watercourses. Information about cold period precipitation that forms water reserves in the snow cover of catchments, obtained from Internet sites that are open to access, will help solve the problem. Correlation analysis of hydro-and meteorological information for the Maly Cheremshan river basin confirmed the proportionality of the average water consumption during the spring flood to the total amount of precipitation over the winter.
