Ways to develop communication skills in children of senior preschool age with general speech underdevelopment

This article examines some aspects of the problem of formation and development of communication skills of senior preschool children with general speech underdevelopment. The relevance of this problem is considered in the light of the requirements for the implementation of the target guidelines of the Federal State Educational Standard of Preschool Education and the Federal Educational Program of Preschool Education, various approaches to defining communication skills and research by modern practicing teachers, psychologists and speech therapists considering ways of their development. In the course of the analysis of theoretical and methodological literature was determined what are communication skills. Based on the study of the concept under consideration and the target guidelines of the Federal State Educational Standard of Preschool Education and the Federal Program of Preschool Education in the educational «Areas of social and communicative development» and «Speech development», the criteria for the formation of communicative skills of senior preschool children were determined. The speech characteristics of preschool children with general speech underdevelopment were determined and the presence of a relationship between speech and communication skills was demonstrated. The relationship between the presence of general speech underdevelopment in senior preschool children and insufficient formation of sensorimotor development skills was considered from the standpoint of different authors. The systems of methods and techniques of speech therapy influence and sensorimotor development of preschoolers were analyzed. Based on the theoretical analysis of the problem, methods for developing communicative skills in senior preschool children with general speech underdevelopment were proposed, taking into account the characteristics of speech and sensorimotor development.
