Methods of establishing odoremas in English and Russian perfumery discourse

This article is devoted to the description of the titles of smells (odoremas) in the perfumery discourse of the English and Russian languages. Based on the results of contrastive analysis of odor in the chosen languages, we found out that English and Russian titles of perfume fragrances are presented by indicating a certain smell direct nomination and indirect nomination (metaphors, abbreviation, compositional). In English ways of forming new odoremas are structural-semantic (suffixation, compositional, abbreviation), in Russian the are metaphorical.
