Summary Evaluation of Ki-67 expression status is of great importance in differential diagnosis of breast cancer phenotypes. Currently, many authors emphasize the need to introduce more accurate methods and criteria for Ki-67 and other molecular markers, which will minimize misdiagnosis. In the present work, a comparative study of the level of Ki-67 expression estimated by immunohistochemistry and “real time” PCR was carried out. It is shown that the introduction of the PCR method in clinical practice to determine the value of tissue proliferative activity can provide higher accuracy and can be considered as a reference or at least an additional method.
