Comparative evaluation of quality of life of patients of reproductive age with uterine myoma after conservative myomectomy and uterine artery embolization

Uterine leiomyoma negatively influences the quality of life of patients in all spheres of life, especially in such spheres as health, emotions and sexual life. A comparative analysis of quality of life of patients with uterine leiomyoma before and after two methods of treatment - the conservative myomectomy and uterine artery embolization - was carried out.Conservative myomectomy and uterine artery embolization, as methods of organ-preserving treatment of uterine fibroids, have an authentic positive effect on the quality of life of patients with uterine leiomyoma. In comparison, the parameters of quality of life in the spheres of emotions, health and overall quality of life were similar in both groups of patients, who underwent conservative myomectomy and uterine artery embolization. However, in the professional sphere and in sexual life, more reliable positive dynamics was observed in the group of patients after embolotherapy.
