The article presents the results of a comparative study of reactogenicity and antigen activity of commercial adjuvants BS-50, BS-60, BS-70, CORALVAC RZ 506 and CORALVAC RZ 528 and their comparison with the reference adjuvant MLA-70 in emulsion vaccine against chlamydia in animals. Guinea pigs were used as a laboratory model for the studies. The vaccine reactogenicity was assessed daily during the first 10 days after immunization. During clinical examinations of animals, the following were recorded and taken into account: general body temperature, general condition, appetite and vaccine tolerance of animals. The results of a comparative study of vaccines reactogenicity based on various adjuvants made it possible to establish the absence of local reactions in laboratory animals to the introduction of biopreparations. Serological studies were carried out every 30 days after vaccination for five months. It was found that all the studied vaccines manufactured using various adjuvants cause the production of complement-fixing chlamydial antibodies in laboratory animals. The highest rates of antigen activity were found in groups of guinea pigs immunized with biopreparations on the basis of BS-60 adjuvant and the reference adjuvant MLA-70. The lowest results were shown by biopreparations based on CORALVAC RZ adjuvants. The obtained results indicate that BS-60 adjuvant turned out to be the most optimal of all the studied drugs that meet the requirements of good manufacturing practice. Therefore, in the future, preclinical and clinical trials are recommended to be carried out using BS-60 adjuvant.
