Comparative characteristics of the concept “miracle” (“wonder”) in the religious discourse in the Russian and English linguocultures

The article deals with the comparative examination of the concepts of “miracle” (“wonder”) in the Russian and English religious discourse. In the Russian language this concept is transferred by the lexical unit “miracle” (“wonder”), there are used the lexical units “miracle” and “wonder” in a similar meaning in the English language; there is used the lexical unit “marvel” in some cases. The difference in the ways and means of the transfer of the phenomenon is explained by the specific features of the conceptualization of the world around us.
