Comparative analysis of the features of psychological well-being among women in military and civilian jobs

The paper presents an analysis of the research in the field of psychological well-being of an individual and defines the concept of “psychological well-being”. The main characteristics of the specifics of military professional activity are described. The results of the study of the peculiarities of psychological well-being among women in military and civilian jobs are presented. It is revealed that women in armed forces believe that their psychological well-being depends on the opinions of others, rely on external forces in making important decisions, give in to the opinions and assessments of people around them who do not have life goals and a clear focus. Women of civil professions, on the contrary, are capable of building trusting relationships with people around them, are ready to care, empathize, experience attachments and know how to compromise. In general, it can be concluded that women in armed forces are of the low level of psychological well-being compared with women of civilian jobs.
