Means of text expressiveness in the modern Buryat language (a case study of Kim Tsydenov's story “Love and money “)

The article analyzes the means of text expressiveness in the modern Buryat language based on the story “Love and Money” by a Buryat writer Kim Tsydenov. The expressiveness of text is considered as one of the linguistic universals according to the types of expressiveness identified by V. A. Maslova. As part of the study of the type of expressiveness “text - language” we have revealed rhythmic-intonation, grammatical and lexical means of expressiveness in the Buryat text. While analyzing the functioning of language units of various levels, such as particles, verb forms, as well as studying the redundancy and savings of language funds, we have substantiated their participation in creating the expressive effect of the text. In addition, we have considered the role of linguistic means in transmitting expressiveness, their cohesion and unity in the Buryat text to express a certain author’s intention.
