The article examines the stages of development of the situation of monitoring the educational process in the vocational school as the realization of its potential in the formation of professional and personal self-realization of the student. It is noted that monitoring the learning process and the development of students is an essential element in the formation of professional and personal self-realization of a student. The indicated process takes place over several stages of setting targets and their implementation. One of the strategic goals of the development of vocational education is to improve its quality and competitiveness. Therefore, when teaching students of vocational schools of their chosen profession, special attention should be paid to the development of intentional purposefulness in the pedagogical process. The need to develop students’ commitment is due to the economic situation in Russia and the problems associated with the entry of potential employees into the labor market.
