The article focuses on the phenomenon of the transformation of an aristocratic club from foreign cultural borrowing into an integral self-reproducing element of the culture of the Russian nobility. The object of the research is the historical process of the formation and development of an aristocratic club in Russia. Elements of historical-cultural and comparative-historical analysis make it possible to identify a class of identical phenomena that characterize the development of an aristocratic club, and to carry out their culturalogical attribution in Russian and European cultures. As a result, it can be argued that: firstly, the aristocratic club by the beginning of the 19th century. became an integral part of Russian culture, and secondly, in the first half of the 19th century there is a change in the paradigm of cultural development from import (borrowing) forms of European culture to their use in self-reproduction and retranslation of Russian culture, which in the second half of the 19th century has already led to exports to Europe her achievements.
