Strategic Directions for Developing Professional Competencies of Employees at the National library of the Syrian Arab Republic in Conditions of Political Conflict and Crises

The article presents an analysis of the activities of the National Library of the Syrian Arab Republic in the context of military and political instability, the results of which indicate the need to systematically and systematically improve the quality of library work in order to overcome the consequences of crisis situations in the country and restore its cultural, scientific and educational systems. The author presents data from an empirical study aimed at assessing the effectiveness of advanced training programs and courses conducted in the National Library of the SAR. Particular attention in the process of describing the results of the survey is given to the role of the intellectual and creative potential of library staff in ensuring the sustainable functioning of the library. The conducted survey of employees made it possible to identify significant shortcomings in training programs, assess the degree of satisfaction of employees with the quality of educational opportunities provided and offer a set of practical recommendations for eliminating the problems identified. The conclusions made in the article are of practical value for libraries existing in crisis situations and faced with the need to improve the level of professional competence of their employees to effectively fulfill the state tasks facing them.
