Strategies for developing cultural exchange among university students in the border areas of china and Russia

China and Russia, being friendly neighbors, have long-standing traditions of cultural exchange. Border regions, as the frontiers of interaction between the two countries, have unique advantages in the field of cultural exchange between university students. Using the example of Heilongjiang Province (PRC) and the Russian Far East, this article analyzes the current state of cultural interaction between students of border universities, and conducts a comparative analysis of cultural exchanges initiated by the Russian and Chinese sides. The research methodology is based on the use of system analysis and comparative typological method, which allowed to identify the most significant areas of cultural interaction of students of border universities, to determine the existing shortcomings in the modern policy of Russian-Chinese cultural exchanges among students of border universities. As a result of the study, the authors systematized the advantages and identified the problems in the process of youth exchange between the two countries, and proposed corresponding solutions and long-term plans for deepening cooperation, introducing innovative models of interaction and ensuring sustainable development of cultural exchange between Russia and China.
