The article presents the results of the substantial characteristics of coping strategies of temporal lobe epilepsy patients with depressive disorders. When predominantly right-hemisphere lateralization paroxysmal foci dominated relative unconstructive coping strategies: difficulty in making decisions, impulsiveness, unfocused behavioral activity; with left hemisphere - the focus on social support, problem-solving and hypersocility in verbal behavior. These characteristics of coping strategies may be relevant targets for cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy in the complex treatment of patients.
