Structure and economic features of the development of infrastructure of trade and public catering of a sanatorium complex

The article provides the analysis of a social and economic role of trade enterprises and public catering in the development of resort infrastructure. The author considers the trade infrastructure and objects of public catering as organizational subjects that allow serving the population including delivering various services - public catering, retail and wholesale trade in food and household goods. The detailed characteristic of the infrastructure of trade and public catering in a sanatorium is given. Treatment-and-prophylactic food plays an important role in controlling many diseases and at the general restoration of a human body. Treatment-and-prophylactic food also takes a due place at catering services as it is based on the selection of food components which are favorably influencing the general tone of an organism. The system of a buffet is becoming more popular in the organization of sanatorium food, which is organized in dining rooms or restaurants. The system of a custom-made menu is organized generally for guests of the resort and tourists who can independently choose the diet for breakfast, lunch and dinner from the offered menu. As it is described by the author, one of the main functions of the organization of objects of retail trade and food is the improvement of economic development of treatment centers and all resort areas - creation of additional workplaces, increase in commodity turnover and the volume of total sales. In the area of sanatorium organizations the system of retail trade plays a driving role in the development of the whole complex. In the resort and recreational areas there are many universal and combined shops which are one of the most important components of the resort and recreational consumer market. The stationary and non-stationary objects differing in the mobility and degree of security are widespread. The time criterion of the arrangement of trade objects is often caused by the seasonality of sales. The classification is offered and main functions of trade enterprises and public catering in functioning of resort infrastructure are defined.
