The article deals with the results of the theoretical research, aimed at determining the structure and component composition of the concept “system outlook” as a professionally significant quality of a modern specialist that is important to shape in the process of the cognitive activity in the modern professional education. The author analyzes the current approaches to defining the concept of system outlook. The article identifies the component composition of the system outlook on the basis of the theoretical analysis of the research works in the spheres of the cognitive activity and the system thinking and determines the place and function of each structural component in the overall system, their correlation and interconnection.
