Structural dynamics in the modern global economy: contradictions of post-industrialism and deindustrialization

The dynamics of the share of services in GDP of selected countries is analyzed in comparison with the level and specific features of their development as well as the dynamics of GDP itself for the last forty years. Socio-economic advantages brought by the growing service sector and negative consequences of deindustrialization are identified. Different scenarios of deindustrialization as well as possible ways of reindustrialization in developed and developing countries are shown.
