The article presents the elaborated structural-functional model of students’ teaching role development in the context of formal and non-formal education, the objective of which is the promotion of teaching role positions, as well as personal qualities, abilities, knowledge and skills the future teacher will need in professional teaching activities. The structural-functional model of teaching role position development is based on the system, person-oriented, situation-based, competence-based approaches and includes the following components: objective, content, organization, techniques, assessment.
