Structural, semantic and orthographic aspects of business and commercial compounds

The article presents some data on the problem of English and Russian business and commercial compounds from the point of view of their structural organization, meaning and graphical representation. Word-formation models are analysed on the basis of their recurrence. Lexico-semantic organization of business and commercial word field is determined with respect to their meaning. Some English and Russian orthographic features are systematized within the revealed graphical tendencies. The analysis made it possible to determine some basic typological and specific characteristics of the units under study.
