Student Scientific Societies as an Integrative Environment for the Development of Students' Socio-Professional Competence and Personal Maturity

This article examines student scientific societies as an integrative environment for developing students' social and professional competence and personal maturity. Definitions of such concepts as social maturity, personal maturity, and student scientific societies are provided. The results of a study on the role of student scientific societies in the modern higher education system are presented. It is demonstrated that student scientific societies act not as an auxiliary element, but as a key element of the educational system, creating unique conditions for the accelerated development of students' social and professional competencies and personal maturation. The key functions of student scientific societies are identified and characterized: approbation, communication, project-based, mentoring, and reflective.
