The paper reviews the subjective well-being as a condition for developing tolerant consciousness of the personality in the migrant environment. In recent times, the issue of subjective well-being of the personality is of particular relevance not only due to social and economic problems but also because of the need to analyze the social and cultural determinants of well-being. The prerequisite for subjective well-being of the personality in the migrant environment is the cognitive and emotional state which is typical for both newcomers and hosts. Migrant environment often serves as an indicator of the level of personal tolerance. Tolerant relations are reflected in cultural knowledge of the host country, the readiness to treat it with respect, the need to share several values of the host country which are not inconsistent with personal and sociocultural attitudes of the newcomers. The research reveals that the level of tolerance corresponds to the level of moral development of a person. Responsibility and kindness are the main psychological manifestations of the tolerant behavior.
