Adaptive readiness is the result of a complex interaction between external and internal factors where the subjective well-being of the personality is the key one. Based on the above-mentioned fact, the author emphasizes that during the migration, personal subjective well-being will ensure consistency between the different systems when implementing significant migrant aims and objectives, providing optimal adaptation rate in the host territory. Based on the determined types of subjective well-being of the personality, the author identifies the baseline for developing optimal adaptation readiness of migrants. The results of the empirical research shows that there are both general conditions for enabling migrant adaptation and specific conditions; their efficiency is determined by entry into/departure from the Russian Federation. These findings can be the basis for a science-based approach to psychological counseling and psychological intervention with migrants and host population.
