The article deals with the issues of pedagogical support for first-year students in the period of adaptation to higher education. The main problems of first-year students at the stage of their adaptation to new conditions and possible solutions to these problems are revealed. Attention is paid to the description of the content of pedagogical support in the research of domestic scientists. The article concludes with a description of the organization of pedagogical support for first-year students on the example of Bratsk state University.
