The light-music as a multifactorial method of education: the essence, the background, the area of implementation

The article discusses the light-music phenomenon as the method of education. Discloses the essence of this phenomenon, the history of the formation, the area of implementation. Special attention is paid to the system of associative relations of vision and hearing, music and fine arts. In this regard, the author defines characteristic features of the light-music phenomenon. Discusses the etymology of the concept of “colored hearing” and the characteristic features of this phenomenon in the works of A. N. Scriabin. In conclusion the author notes that the light-music can act as a multiple-factor educational tool: as the synthetic art uniting visual and acoustical feelings the light-music promotes development of figurative, associative thinking, all-round development and education of the harmonious, creative human, is a condition for development and formation of esthetic perception and taste through familiarizing with heritage of musical and art culture, and, at last, the light-music promotes understanding of art, his language, promotes broader, panoramic perception of art.
