Relationship between parenting styles and types of agressive behavior in adolescents: towards the problem statement

The article examines the phenomenon of adolescent aggression in the light of parenting styles, defines the concepts of “aggression” and “aggressiveness”, identifies the key types of such behavior, describes the main approaches to determining the causes of adolescent aggressiveness. The classification of types of parenting is specified. The key types of aggression are characterized: instrumental (to achieve a certain goal; has a deliberate character), emotional (as a response to stress, manifests itself in verbal or physical attack), abusive (characteristic of individuals with signs of psychopathy). The analysis of works linking aggressive behavior of adolescents and family education is carried out. The absence of comprehensive studies of this type is indicated. The prospects of work on determining the type of aggressive behavior of the younger generation, as well as on the development of tools for analyzing the relationship between parenting styles and types of aggression in adolescence are outlined.
