The connection between the subjective assessment of the psychological climate and first-year cadets’ personality traits

During the first year of cadets’ studying the stable psychological climate is composed of minor components: psychological atmosphere and emotions caused by making or arranging certain actions. The cadets’ prevailing emotions in favourable psychological conditions are amicability, security, optimism, capacity for wok, initiative; under unfavourable conditions the cadets are aggressive, constrained, pessimistic and passive. The group psychological climate is determined by the emotional and business qualities of a person. An important feature of favourable psychological climate in the group is constructive interpersonal interaction among all subjects of communication. A common characteristic of psychological climate has statistically significant positive correlations with juvenile features according to Cattell: C - emotional stability/ instability and M - practicality/ impracticality. Knowledge of means used to form psychological climate and manage the collective is necessary for the leader to minimize negative manifestations.
