The connection of creativity and intelligence among young people

The results of the study of studies the relationship of creative abilities and its components with various types of intelligence among young people are presented in the article. The relevance of the study in the framework of the research of the younger generation is indicated. Diagnostic results of the studied personality traits of the subjects are shown and various levels of development of types of intelligence and components of creative abilities in young people are described. The following methods of studying creative abilities and intelligence were used: the test of E. Torrens, the test of D. Wexler, the test of researching the structure of intelligence of R. Amthauer. The correlation between the studied traits is analyzed and the correlation between the various components of creative abilities and types of intelligence is proved. It has been confirmed that there is a close connection between verbal intelligence, geometric composition, spatial imagination with the creative abilities of the individual: flexibility, fluency, originality and sophistication. The conditions for the implementation of correlating intellectual and creative abilities are named. The results of the study can be used in consulting, correctional and developing work of a psychologist, as well as in the development of psychological programs to help the administration, curators and tutors of student groups to improve the educational work of educational institutions at various levels.
