The article presents an analysis of scientific literature and results of empirical studies on the problem of ensuring self-efficacy as a key element of an entrepreneur's competitiveness. The researcher’s focus is on the study of coping strategies and political intelligence. Empirical data were collected in two stages: offline (48 respondents) and online (145 respondents). The remote survey was conducted with filtering of respondents by country of residence (Russia) and employment level (owner or manager). It has been established that entrepreneurs tend to distance themselves from politics. A positive correlation has been identified between self-efficacy and indicators of political intelligence, as well as between respondents’ emotional-volitional traits and their problem-oriented coping strategies. The study revealed a link between coping strategies and self-efficacy, which enabled the identification of the potential for influencing entrepreneurs’ competitiveness through these strategies. The research results also demonstrate the interdependency between self-efficacy, political intelligence, and the coping strategies employed, rendering these indicators essential for comprehensive consideration in pursuing the objective of enhancing the resilience and competitiveness of the entrepreneur. The prospects of the study encompass further scientific investigations within the delineated problem framework, using an expanded sample.
