The “ratio” in the system of “general”: culturological thinking of N. A. Lvov

In N.A.Lvov's records two principles of reflections are realized: direct impressions of what was seen (culture of the Italian and Austrian cities visited by Lvov) and indirect inferences (impressions paintings and sculptures created by artists from different countries). The first line of reflections is sketches of the cities. Lvov visited Warsaw, Rome, Naples, Livorno, Pisa, Florence, Bologna, Venice and Vienna. The second line of reflections is perception of painting through a prism of national mentality and on the contrary understanding of national mentality through painting. The observations concerning “similarity” and “dissimilarity” lead Lvov to reflections about ways of their interaction. In the text "About the Russian national singing" the poet described one of them - cultural diffusion, however there it was about maintaining Russian musical culture in the context of non-indigenous influences. Conclusion. Interest in culture of the different nations - from civilized European to staying at that time in a "natural" state Caucasian and Asian - accompanied Lvov throughout all his life. It quite often checked the feeling of other national culture also in imitations of its national songs different in a modality - from serious to humorous. This rich ethnographic material demands systematization and judgment as a complex of culturological views of Lvov including in aspect of his views of the “ratio” and the “general”.
