Electrical network maintenance: a review

This article is devoted to the maintenance of electrical networks. The types of maintenance considered are corrective, planned, condition-based, reliability-centered, and risk-based. It indicates the distinctive features, advantages, and disadvantages of these types and determines the factors justifying their application. The prospects for development and contradictions associated with the use of a particular maintenance concept are noted. Some models of maintenance optimization are considered taking into account economic, technical, technological, and other factors. An analysis of research in maintenance confirms the need to model the processes of electrical network operation in order to implement them using intelligent digital tools. The vastness of the developed models proves the absence of a universal maintenance and repair strategy.
