Artificial intelligence technology in the higher education system

In the context of digitalization of society, research devoted to the emergence of artificial intelligence and its use in the higher education system becomes relevant. Today, the problem of artificial intelligence is becoming truly unique in terms of the breadth and diversity of scientific knowledge and pedagogical techniques used to solve it. In turn, the combination of traditional teaching tools and modern digital technologies contributes to the formation of a new education paradigm. In this context, attention is focused on the ways of using artificial intelligence in the learning process of students. The author reveals the content of the concept of “artificial intelligence”, as well as scientific approaches to its study. The purpose of the empirical study was to examine the possibilities of introducing artificial intelligence into the student learning process. The survey was conducted among students of the Institute of Service and Industry Management of Tyumen Industrial University. During the study, a complex of scientific methods was used - analysis of information resources, generalization and systematization of teaching experience, and a survey of students. In the course of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that artificial intelligence is not a competitor in the student learning process, but acts as a valuable auxiliary tool in its effective organization. Innovative educational technologies provide assistance in choosing the optimal learning path, taking into account the individual capabilities of the student. In addition, information technologies are used to automate educational activities, which gives rise to a rethinking of traditional teaching methods. The study noted positive aspects of the use of artificial intelligence: for example, in increasing the volume of information to be processed, in analyzing the dynamics of the development of digital competencies among students, in the diversity of the teacher’s pedagogical tools and filling the arsenal of educational materials. It has been proven that intelligent educational systems provide an individual learning track for students, taking into account the level of knowledge and skills, and also contribute to the establishment of prompt teacher-student feedback. Consequently, the introduction of artificial intelligence leads to an increase in the quality of education, an increase in the educational motivation of students and the activation of their cognitive activity.
