Technology of translating neologisms from English into Russian in mass media texts

The article analyzes the neologisms that come from the English language, which are currently widely used in the Russian-language media texts. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the degree of popularity of neologisms for the period from January 1, 2018 to October 1, 2021. The most frequent translation techniques, which allow us to adapt new English expressions in Russian texts, are singled out. The article considers the concepts of “neologism” and “neology” and defines the main tendency in the translation of neologisms. A common classification for the designation of concepts new to the language is revealed.
