Technology of content and language integrated learning of foreign language for medical students

The author of the article suggests that content and language integrated learning (CLIL) is becoming an effective way of mastering foreign language communicative competence (FLCC) in the field of a foreign language of medical workers in a short time. In our opinion, the use of the technology of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) allows future specialists, whose profession is not related to a foreign language, to learn how to use it to achieve professional goals, and not to study it as a system, without practical use. Having described the didactic potential of the technology of content and language integrated learning of a foreign language, we have developed a model of content and language integrated learning of a foreign language for medical students, described the pedagogical conditions for increasing the efficiency of the process of forming a foreign language communicative competence when using CLIL technology and this model. The results obtained allow us to assert that content and language integrated learning contributes to the mastery of the FLCC prescribed in the Federal State Educational Standard in the conditions of insufficient time allotted to the discipline "foreign language" in a non-linguistic university and the requirements for the practical use of a foreign language.
