Dehumanization trends of Russian higher education

The purpose of the article is to examine trends of dehumanization in modern Russian society and its’ impact on education that in fact predetermines the transformation of education (undergraduate especially) into an instrument of mass culture. Educational technologies are seen by the author as ways of achieving the minimum necessary level of pedagogical professionalism which is rational to use but it cannot be considered the top of pedagogical skill. Current situation makes the loss of one of the main achievements of Russian pedagogy - its humanistic nature is very possible
