Formation at students of abilities to self-realization is the most important task of the modern higher school. The main definitions of a research are abilities to improvisation in the field of a jazz vocal and creative activity of the personality. They designate the perspective direction for the solution of a problem of formation of the creative person of the student vocalist. Ability to musical creativity, ability to vocal jazz improvisation is inseparably linked with traits of character of the identity of the performer. In the course of jazz improvisation future performers gain experience of momentary creation of a bright musical image, come into emotional contact with audience, perfect performing will, concentration of attention.
