The article explores the theoretical foundations of psychological and pedagogical support for gifted children who are left without parental care. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to develop a comprehensive system of psychological, pedagogical, and social support for this category of children, who possess high intellectual and creative potential but live in socially disadvantaged conditions. The essential characteristics of the concepts of "giftedness," "orphans," and "psychological and pedagogical support" are revealed, and the psychological aspects of the development of gifted children in institutional care are analyzed. The article proposes the goals, objectives, methods, and principles of individualized psychological and pedagogical support for gifted orphans and children left without parental care, aimed at the development of the child's personality, correction of emotional and personal distortions, and the formation of social success. The research results may be useful for professionals in the education and social protection systems, as well as the academic community.
